Change for Children Campaign

Our Change for Children campaign is underway. Watersprings Ranch has been blessed over the years with generous donors and givers, and now it’s our turn to help. One way to help is by collecting spare change inside a coin jar provided by the church in the High Foyer and filling it up for six weeks from September 11- October 23. The money raised will provide food, clothing, medical, and educational needs for the kids at the ranch. Fall Festival

Come join us for our fall festival. We will have lots of games, tons of food, jump houses and more.

Fall fest is always a great time for the family and everyone is invited. Cool weather is expected at this outdoor event, so dress comfortable.

Other things we are looking to showcase are a cookoff, bake sale, and art gallery. Full details will be posted later on the website.

The date is still pending, but I believe this will take place saturday, October 29th in the afternoon.

National Back To Church Sunday, a cross-denominational movement to reverse declining church attendance and encourage everyone to revisit congregational life, will be celebrated Sept. 18 across the country.

Lending his voice to this year’s event is Texas Rangers all-star Josh Hamilton, the 2010 American League Championship Series MVP who credits his comeback from drug addiction and suspension from the game to his faith and church.

“God’s word tells us to spur one another on toward love and good deeds, and not give up meeting together,” Hamilton said. “We are to walk through life with other believers. My family and I have found that church is a wonderful way to do this, so I encourage you to join thousands of Americans as they go back to church on National Back To Church Sunday.”

National Back To Church Sunday has become the single largest community outreach in the nation with 10,000 churches expected to participate in 2011. This event reignites the power of personal invitation to empower church members to bring the community back to church. This year’s event will be held the second Sunday after Labor Day to accommodate more churches.

Since the initiative began in 2009, National Back To Church Sunday has seen increased success with . church members inviting more than 1.4 million family members, friends, neighbors and co-workers to special services last year. Some 3,800 churches participated in 2010, reporting an average 26 percent increase in weekly attendance.

Meet us at Faith Sunday, September 18th at 9:00 AM for a time of prayer, then connection groups at 9:30 and worship at 10:45. Then stick around for 3F (Faith Family Fellowship) after the service for food and fun. We will be ordaining Bro. Dean Wharton as a deacon that afternoon around 3:00, then dismissing the evening services.

It is sure to be a day to remember, fun-filled and God-centered! Invite your friends, they’re in for a treat!

Gander Mountain ATV Show

We had a blast saturday at Gander Mtn.! We passed out free water, hamburgers, hot dogs, bracelets, and of course spread the word about our church as well as share the love of Jesus with our community. As we served hundreds of people that day, we got to know our community a little bit better. So we give God the praise for all that He has done, and we pray that we had an impact in someone’s life by giving out food, water, and the love of God!

Continue to pray as we seek God’s will for our church. There’s still a lot to be done, and upcoming events will ensure that we won’t be sitting on our patted pews and expect someone else to do the job. Faith Baptist is full of members with a servant’s heart, and we will do whatever it takes to get it done! From the smallest, simplest things to the heavy duty jobs, we will continue to serve others through ministries at Faith! Stay tuned!
